The First United Presbyterian Church is at 7th and Chestnut streets, across from the city park and at the south end of downtown Atlantic, Iowa. Street parking is available, with additional spots in nearby lots after normal business hours. The building has a front handicap ramp and a lift for accessing the downstairs fellowship hall and kitchen. Another ramp at the back door leads to the alley.
Built in 1927, the brick Gothic church features beautiful stained-glass windows and a bell tower. The pipe organ was refurbished in 2024. Memorial windows from the original 1880 wooden church adorn the East façade and can be viewed from second-floor Sunday school rooms and the heritage room on the first floor.
